Tanjung Intan Port is a strategic infrastructure in Cilacap Regency. The port serves national and international trades. Tanjung intan is located quite nearby from the center of Cilacap, only about 5 five minutes drives. The depth of the port is from 6 to 12 meters and the width of the port is from 250 to 450 meters.
The land area of the port is about 146 hectares and has great potential to be developed into modern port system. At the present time, there are about 28 hectares of land that has not been developed. The multi purpose port must also be extended to serve the growing volume of trades by building the place to store the shipping box.
As a growing national and international port, Tanjung Intan plays significant part in the development of Cilacap Regency. The port is becoming busier from time to time, especially in serving the commercial ship that unload and upload various kinds of goods via Cilacap. Modernizing the port system is considered as a strategic opportunity to ensure that the port can professionally and continuously serve more trading ships.
